++ Sat 24th February ++
Went to Leo’s company ball @ the Queens Hotel (see pic). Titanic theme, Live dancers, free bar and fake money gambling :p ++ Sat 3rd March ++ We organised a surprise bday for Leo’s 24th!! Worked out really well!
He thought we were goin to eat on our own @ Zizzis,
haha.. He was totally surprised! Check out the pix ~~
he was spoilt rotten…
It was so good that everyone could make it,
paricularly Mathis who came down from Teeside.. It was so much fun.
Wil’s code txts (the bird has not flown the nest etc) were funny.
I’d spent the whole of the nite b4 making a cake. Driving around to supermarkets looking for fresh fruit @ 9 o’clock at nite! Much to my relief, everyone seemed to really like it :) Leo got loads of pressies too! We went to Macella’s flat at the end of the nite after aimlessly wallkin around leeds not having realised how busy Saturday nites are! It was overall a good ending to a really nice nite :) Hope you enjoyed ur bday Leo! ++ Wed 7th March ++ Took the day off and applied at Huddersfield Uni to finish my CIPD qualification (part time, for a year). I never thought that I would become a student again!! Least I get student discount again haha.. I’m hoping that my company will be able to fund it too. My contract is due to finish and if I secure the year contract that they currently have on offer, then they have agreed to fund it! Yay! Just a bit anxious about all the change that’s happening at work at the moment ~ Will jus have to see what happens I guess. Leo took me to Trafford Centre for the rest of the day. It was a really nice day out, went to Selfridges ~~ and they have a Dior concession thr now! Yay.. got the necklace I wanted… ate KFC… shopped.. had a really nice ice creamberry smoothie @ the food court.. watched Ghost Rider (erm, it wasn’t tht great).. shopped.. ate @ Pizza Express.. Mmm… Fully takin advantage of a day’s annual leave hehe..

``Watch/read Al Gore's "An inconvenient truth" and u will see..  Climate change is the greatest environmental challenge facing the world today. Carbon dioxide and other gases warm the surface of the planet naturally by trapping solar heat in the atmosphere. By burning fossil fuels such as coal, gas and oil and clearing forests we have dramatically increased the amount of carbon dioxide in the Earth’s atmosphere and temperatures are rising. Rising global temperatures will bring changes in weather patterns, rising sea levels and increased frequency and intensity of extreme weather events. The effects will be felt here in the UK and internationally there may be severe problems for people in regions that are particularly vulnerable to change. We had torrential storms and a tornado in Leeds last year. A tornado requires intense heat to form, to which we had until October. It was pitch black when the tornado formed in the middle of the afternoon with rain rushing up rooftops, uplifting trees and roofs!  The effects of global warming is worse in the Winter when trees have shed their leaves and absorb less CO². As it gets darker and colder we use our cars, lights, heating more frequently. Coming up to Christmas so much wastage is compiled from packaging, wrapping and cards. More energy is comsumed from Christmas lights worldwide and also the use of new electrical presents. Fireworks for the new year is also damaging for the atmosphere. An interesting but disturbing fact that I learnt from "An Inconvenient Truth" was that the winter in some places are no longer cold enough to kill off some bugs that are eating away at our forests at a rapid rate. So much change is occuring. Animals are evolving and adapting causing effects to nature and habitat. Medicines are in danger as plants/trees are becoming endangered. New diseases are also forming. ** The number of Category 4 and 5 hurricanes has almost doubled in the last 30 years. ** Malaria has spread to higher altitudes in places like the Colombian Andes, 7,000 feet above sea level. ** Deaths from global warming will double in just 25 years -- to 300,000 people a year ** Global sea levels could rise by more than 20 feet with the loss of shelf ice in Greenland and Antarctica, devastating coastal areas worldwide. ** Heat waves will be more frequent and more intense. Droughts and wildfires will occur more often. ** The Arctic Ocean could be ice free in summer by 2050. ** More than a million species worldwide could be driven to extinction by 2050. ** Please do your bit and recycle anything you can and conserve as much energy as possible !! 。。 ++ 1 recycled tin can would save enough energy to power a TV for 3 hours. ++ 1 recycled bottle (glass) would save enough energy to power a computer for 25 minutes. ++ 1 recycled bottle (plastic) would save enough energy to power a 60-watt light bulb for 3 hours. ++ 70% less energy is required to recycle paper compared with making it from raw materials. ++ Up to 60% of the rubbish that ends up in the dustbin could be recycled. ++ The unreleased energy contained in the average dustbin each year could power a TV for 5,000 hours. ++ The largest lake in the Britain could be filled with rubbish from the UK in 8 months. ++ On average, 16% of the money you spend on a product pays for the packaging, which ultimately ends up as rubbish. ██████ What YOU can do ! ██████
╬ Don't leave your TV/Monitors on standby ╬ Use public transport/car share and minimise journeys ╬ Unplug electronics from the wall when not in use. Hairdryers, TVs, phone chargers still use energy when turned off (lower your energy bill!) ╬ Switch ur lights off when ur not using the room. Also use energysavinglightbulbs ╬ Use less carrier bags when you go shopping ~ Say you don't need one! ╬ Use less hot water and take showers ╬ Recycle paper, cans, bottles ~ It's easy! ✗ ❣ ✚ ✪ ✣ Plz do your bit.. it all helps ;) ✗ ❣ ✚ ✪ ✣

greeted by Akina, Vincent + their cute baby Yu Ting >.<
Played wi Yu Ting in the hotel + unpacked.
Ate Japanese in Tai Po that nite. Mmmmm ! Really cheap too!
Then as always we went 2 Rainbow Desserts… MMmmmmm! Yum! Maybe better than Hui Lau Shan.
Tried this other dessert place in Tai Po which ws also really nice!
4th, Shatin: Met Grace + Valen.
The day really reminded me of wen I ws so happy2meet Princess Echo thr ls yr..
Neway wen I saw Grace + Valen, I ws so happy tht I culd cry haha.. ask Valen..
We went2eat Japanese bt I had already eaten McDonalds!
Cnt beat HK McDonalds!
Grace wsnt happy wen she couldn’t get any money frm the machine!.. nt a happy princess.. hehe.. Took sticker pics.. ^^
Went 2 TST shopping.. Met Leo thr, he’d js arrived + already hd the camera on!
Grace treated us 2 Hui Lau Shan nice… mango..
She bought a lot, spent ages in Swarovski.
Went 2 Mongkok.. shoppin.. Grace got stuff from G2000
+ I saw the mac tht I bought later on…
went 2 the new(ish) shoppin centre, ate.. + went 2 Honeymoon for mango & cream dessert yum :p got late had 2 head bk..
sad 2 leave them on the train. .. >.<
6th - Met Stephen + Zoe for dinner @ Causeway Bay..
ate Japanese _ wow I didn’t realise I ate Japanese so often !
. .. I don’t even like sashimi !
Went bk 2 Taikoo Shing 2 change + went out wi Jaclyn + met up wi the others..
hd some wine at a bar.. + stayed over
7th - Met Jaclyn + Kenny in the local shoppin centre..
went 2 central by bus + ate@the cantine, went to dior + Baby Ape
got the boat over 2 TST + got a Taxi 2 Mongkok -
ate @ one of the original dessert places + ws totally mango-fied!
Went 2c Stephen at work, converted Leo’s ds..
got phone screen protectors and Jap mag..
Dropped off my stuff in Shatin + showed leo Snoopy land :) + hotel
Met his family in Hung hom.. ate Seafood..
10th - Went 2 the Avenue of Stars wi my mum Ina + Leo which was pretty cool.
It ws gd 2 take some time out 2 do some touristy things.
Loved the view of the harbour.
Met Stephen there in TST + walked around in Harbour City.
Met up with Jaclyn, Chris, Batson 2 eat dinner.
Met Faye, who I couldn’t remember at first, but soon realised that I met her once in Position abt 5 yrs ago
+ she’s in a group photo tht I have on my wall!
Dinner was nice + we went 2 an exclusive bar with the best view ever!!
The harbour at night all lit up – you could see both sides + it looked amazing..
the only table left cost $2000!!!
We took pics + left :p we went 2 a Russian bar in TST for drinks..
took cool pics in ice bar hehe.. funny. .
Didn’t get in2 any hardcore shoppin sprees as I was mainly seein ppl,
bt I did buy some nice jewellery from Tiffany, Ma Belle + Dior =P
Well a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do! Hehe. ..
wanted 2 get a handbag really, but will stay on the look out in UK hehe. . .
Can’t believe I got 2 meet so many ppl in such a short space in time!

Was gona go 2 th beach.. my mums friendz had booked 4 us 2 go waterskiing bt typhoon… so th water was too rough.. went fishin instead near Ma On Shan… different huh? I didn’t catch nethin was jus like feedin prawns 2 the fish ! was so nice sittin thr tho… so peaceful… I loved th speed boat ride over to th floats… so fast.. was fun ! so hot tht day 2…Went 2 eat Korean @ Ma On Shan… this meal was one of the nicest…. Really really nice ! Mmmmm ~~
Then went 2 meet Jaclyn so we could go 2 Hei Hei nightclub. Went by her place in Taikoo 1st 2 get sum shoes… her place is Soooo nice ! Went out @ abt 12pm… met Stephen n Batson n Steve (Stephen’s trainer guy friend…) was a fun nite ! Told my bro to put his arm around me n batson as protective as he was tht nite.. was gonna kick off haha … his face… Music was good thr ! was packed ! some idiots tried it on ~ prob wi spiked drinks… bt was a good nite ! Met jaclyn's friend ~ Sharon ~ she's so bubbly n nice ! Stayed ova @Jaclyns ~ slept after 4pm…

Ate @ McDonalds... chicken burger iz really nice... jaclyns recommendation ~ brought a cream suit in G2000 sizes fit me well over thr hehe… was so cheap ~ only £40…n iz really nice… Met Echo again was worried abt her travelling cos of typhoon… Took sticker pics in Shatin went 2 Causeway bay (again) ate @ Hui Lau Shan… whilst it was rainin… Brought some fancl stuff she got discount… she brought a phone, a bag n stuff… we both got a top frm Killah… so pushd 4 time we ate quickly @th ground floor of Sogo… n went bk 4 th final time … boo hoo… miss her so much ! :(

Went 2 Yum cha… Hadn’t really got mch shoppin done as I spent most of the time chillin wi friendz.. So I spent 2dy wi my mum n bro shoppin… Went 2 Tsim Sha Tsui… Spent Soooooo much money ~ the most I’ve eva spent in a day ! Ate wi Richard @ Pizza Hut… food was sooo nice! N I was sooo full…. Seafood soup wi puffpastry~ prawn salad wi melon… fish n rice… so mch choice didn’t bother wi pizza… Mmmmm love the jelly sodas too….

Last day… we wantd 2 hav an early start bt didn’t cos loads 2 sort out… went yum cha @ Maxims in Shatin… printed photos out… took sticker pics… went 2 Causeway Bay @ 4pm ! Thought 2myself tht I wuldn’t buy nethin else…. But spent loads again hehe… Ate Korean @ a restaurant in Shatin wi my mum’s friendz ~ they brought me some Koo stuff for the bathroom… so cute n nice :) Met Rich in Tai Po one last time 2 eat dessert @Rainbow… Bro stayed up 2watch Man U til 4am ! wot a loser =p

.｡.Wed 28th Sept.｡. Somehow each day got better n better… feel like I have been dreamin 4 a week ! Was great 2c u guys ! This was so different 2 my usual HK trip whr id shop n eat wi family… this was so cool… bt didn’t do mch shoppin n didn’t even go 2 th markets which was strange 4 me… bt this was so cool prob th best hol ive eva had ! : ) Its nice 2b home tho… althou th weather could b a lil better ! xx |
